A trade gives you practical skills you can use for life, and the satisfaction of seeing what you have built, fixed or improved. The work varies, the places change, and as your skills and responsibility grow there is clear room to progress and to improve what you can earn.

There are routes in through apprenticeships, trainee roles and labouring as well as experienced and qualified positions, and it is a chance to work alongside experienced tradespeople and build a reputation of your own.
